RemoteLast Revised: Jun 4th, 2025
Event Description
Having expertise and skills isn’t enough if we don’t apply them thoughtfully to everyone, including those we may find difficult to understand or connect with. This session highlights the essential role of empathy in fostering trust, communication and meaningful support for colleagues, program participants and volunteers. Through interactive exercises and meaningful discussions, participants will explore how personal discomfort or assumptions can shape our actions and decisions, sometimes limiting our ability to provide the care and support others need. Attendees will leave with practical strategies to cultivate empathy in their daily interactions, helping to create environments where everyone feels respected and supported.
